DRIPPIN is a seven-member boy band formed on October 28, 2020, under Woollim Entertainment, consisting of members Alex, Changuk, Dongyun, Hyeop, Junho, Minseo, and Yunseong. The group debuted with the mini-album 'Boyager' with "Nostalgia" serving as its title track, and it's about reliving a memory.

'Villain: The End' is DRIPPIN's latest release, which marked their new music in about five months since their second single album 'Villain: Zero' in June. Through the record, DRIPPIN splendidly decorates the finale of the magnificent 'Villain' story of the trilogy that continues with their previous works. The title track, "The One," is an attractive song with a stylish rhythm of the drum and bass genre and a guitar ride with a metal sound. The album also comprises the B-side tracks "I.N.O," "Silence," "MONSTER," "HOME," "UTOPIA," "DEJA VU," "ESCAPE," "Champion," and "When I'm With You."

To commemorate their anticipated return, DRIPPIN sat down with allkpop to talk about 'Villain: The End,' share their favorite tracks from the album and goals they'd like to accomplish in the future, and more! Keep reading to know more about the septet!

allkpop: 'Villain: The End' will be DRIPPIN's first full-length release since its debut. To begin, tell us more about your upcoming album. What is the overall concept of the album, and what is the meaning behind the album's name? The teaser image you recently released features stacked television sets and cameras in a futuristic style; how would you describe the overall vibe of the album?

Yunseong: Our new album is the concluding album of the Villain trilogy, which contains a story of members coming together after the final battle and concluding the long-lasting journey. The title track "The One," tells the story of the main character becoming one, and the other nine side tracks convey the inner story and message of conflict and bond in the worldview.

allkpop: How are the preparations coming along? How are you feeling as you prepare to release a full-length album? What did your most difficult day look like?

Changuk: Since it's our first full-length album, I was worried about making the best result possible, and I was a little stressed when I found the results not satisfying enough.

allkpop: What do you consider to be the most significant difference between preparing a full album and a mini-album? How did you find the recording process for this one?

Alex: Since there are more tracks in this album compared to mini albums, we had to practice and record more songs in less time, but the process was so much fun. Also, we paid a lot of attention to the choreography, so you will see an upgraded version of our dance moves.

allkpop: Which of the album's songs is your favorite, and which would you recommend the most?

Hyeop: I recommend the song "ESCAPE"! It is a song that makes you feel positive and want to party!

Changuk: My favorite is "DEJA VU," and I recommend this song because I have always wanted to perform this song in front of our DREAMIN fans.

allkpop: Are there any amusing or memorable behind-the-scenes stories from the music video shoot that you can share with us?

Junho: There was an outfit we had to wear during the music video shoot that exposed our lower abs, so I couldn't eat anything for that shoot, and it nearly made me cry out of hunger. Right after the shoot, I ran to the food truck to have some tteokbokki and fish cakes.

allkpop: Could you please elaborate on DRIPPIN's 'Villain' concept and its storyline? Will you reveal anything new or show something new with the release of your first full-length album, 'Villain: The End'?

Dongyun: Our Villain's era worldview tells the story of fighting against DX, which was born through Junho's ego division, and Villain's concept contains our stage charisma and chic atmosphere. We tried to portray a chic style often seen in ordinary villains. In this album, we're going to end the world view and show you a new side of us with a lot of rock sound.

allkpop: On October 28, DRIPPIN will celebrate its second group anniversary. Two years have passed! What has been your favorite or most memorable moment in your career so far?

Minseo: It's amazing that it's already our 2nd anniversary, and it makes me feel time really flies so quickly. We haven't been able to perform in front of our fans for a long time, but we were so happy to meet our fans on music shows, starting with our album 'Zero.' I don't think I'll ever forget the first time we performed at a music show face to face.

allkpop: Comprising seven members, we're wondering how you incorporate your own colors into one as DRIPPIN.

Junho: I think we are like a rainbow. There are many colors in this world, but I think we can put all those colors in the name of "DRIPPIN" because we support each other's strengths so that they can look beautiful and cool, and if there are any shortcomings, we can make up for each other.

allkpop: Could you please share with us your short- and long-term goals for this year and the coming years?

Yunseong: The plan for this year is to travel around the world with our title song, "The One," and our goal for the future is to create a performance without any regrets and to win awards through our songs!
