On October 13 KST, Son Dam Bi updated her personal Instagram story with a photo of herself standing in front of a bakery and wrote, "The weather is art". In another photo posted to her Instagram story, Son Dam Bi tagged her friend next to a photo of a kimbap dish and wrote, "Shin Ae unnie's kimbap is (thumbs up)".

While Son Dam Bi's Instagram update revealed a happy atmosphere of her having a good time with a close friend, the timing of her posts suggested that she had been absent from actress Gong Hyo Jin's recent wedding ceremony held in New York. Previously, Son Dam Bi was embroiled in rumors that she had cut off her friendship with Jung Ryeo Won and Gong Hyo Jin, following her and Jung Ryeo Won's controversy involving a fraudster. This rumor continued to grow after netizens found out that Jung Ryeo Won and Gong Hyo Jin had both been absent during Son Dam Bi's wedding ceremony.
