BreakTudo Awards 2022: Blackpink, Twice, BTS, GOT7, IVE and Enhypen are nominated for music categories

On Monday (Sep 5), the Brazilian award show BreakTudo Awards revealed the 2022 nominees list, and several K-pop stars are in the running. Local artist Anitta leads the list of nominees with six nominations, while the international artist with the most nominations is Blackpink, who received four nominations.
As a country that consumes a lot of K-pop, Brazil has other awards that recognize K-pop music, such as the Nickelodeon Brazil Kids' Choice Awards and MTV Millennial Awards Brazil also usually indicate k-pop acts. This year BTS won the 2022 MTV Millennial Awards Brazil in the Global Hit category for "My Universe."
In the 2022 BreakTudo Awards nominees list, Blackpink appears on the list four times; one nomination goes to "Blinks" in the International Fandom of The Year category, another nomination goes to "Pink Venom" in the "International MV of The Yeah" category, one nomination for "International Best Group" and another one for "Female Group of K-pop."
Twice appears on the list of nominees in two categories, one nomination in the category "International MV of The Yeah" for "The Feels" and another nomination in the category "Female Group of K-pop" for himself.
In the "Female Group of K-pop" category, the nominees are Aespa, Blackpink, Girls' Generation, ITZY, IVE, Kep1er, NMIXX, and Twice. In the Male K-pop Group Of K-pop category, the nominees are BTS, Enhypen, EXO, GOT7, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Treasure, and TXT.
Japanese-British singer Rina Sawayama received a nomination for "Follow Me," a collaboration with Brazilian drag queen Pabllo Vittar. Singer Jackson Wang received a nomination in the "Global Artist" category and competes with artists from different parts of the world, being its competitors: Ava Max, Danna Paola, Charli XCX, Maluma, Wizkid, Rosalía, and Sia.
The BreakTudo Awards 2022 will be broadcast on November 22 to Brazil through the Box Brazil Play streaming platform and by Yeeaah TV; there will also be a global broadcast through the Telemilenio channel on YouTube. Voting for the awards begins on September 10th via the official website and Twitter with hashtags.
