Jellyfish Entertainment has now confirmed that VIXX member Hyuk will be parting ways with the agency after approximately 10 years.
On June 8, Jellyfish Entertainment relayed the following in an official statement regarding Hyuk's exclusive contract:
"Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.
First and foremost, we sincerely thank the fans who have loved and cheered on our label artist VIXX and member Hyuk.
We would like to notify that Hyuk's exclusive contract with Jellyfish recently came to an end. After an in-depth discussion with Hyuk, the artist and the agency have come to an agreement to not renew his contract. However, on the basis of mutual trust and friendship, Hyuk will continue to maintain a relationship with the agency in future activities as a member of VIXX.
We would like to deliver our gratitude to Hyuk, who worked with those in our agency for a long 10-years based on his trust in us. Jellyfish promises to cheer on Hyuk's new beginning from now on.
Once again, we thank the fans who constantly supported Hyuk and watched over him, and we ask for your unchanging love and attention toward Hyuk's as he starts fresh."
As of June 8 KST, Jellyfish Entertainment is home to two VIXX members - Leo and Ken. Although under different agencies, fellow VIXX members including N, Ravi, and now Hyuk, have all promised fans to maintain a relationship with Jellyfish Entertainment for future group activities.
