BTS makes history at the Billboard Music Awards with 3 wins

BTS made history at this year's Billboard Music Awards after taking home three awards.
On May 15th, the Billboard Music Awards announced the winners a few hours ahead of the awards show and the boys of BTS took home three trophies for Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, and Top Selling Song with "Butter".
BTS has been nominated in six different categories at this year's awards show including Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Billboard Global Artist (excluding the U.S.), Top Selling Song (nominated twice with "Butter" and "Permission To Dance"), Top Billboard Global Song (excluding the U.S.), and Top Rock Song.
This year's award marks BTS's third win for Top Duo/Group, meaning the group tied the record held by One Direction for most wins in the same category. It also marks the group's 6th consecutive year of winning at the BBMAs since 2017.
