Viewers voice their support for Brave Girls following the latest episode of 'Queendom 2'

AKP STAFF

Viewers voiced their support for Brave Girls after the results of this week's 'Queendom 2' were revealed.

According to the latest episode aired on April 21st, Hyolyn once again got a perfect score and took first place, followed by LOONA, Cosmic Girls, VIVIZ, Kep1er, and lastly, Brave Girls.

After the results went out, many viewers voiced their support for Brave Girls saying they deserved a higher rank based on their on-stage performances. One of the viewers wrote a post saying Brave Girls should have come in second following Hyolyn and the others also chimed in sharing their thoughts.

Some of the comments include: "I hope Brave Girls could read how the general public thinks. Like the majority don't understand the rankings. It's really just a fandom-based competition."

"I feel their method of voting is problematic because it's not accurately measuring how well they performed on stage."

"Well, I thought Brave Girls would come in third given their small fandom size and how well they performed but then they came in last. Can someone explain how they are the 6th lol"

"I didn't understand the rankings from the first season lol"

"I also thought Brave Girls were the most memorable next to Hyolyn."

"From the viewers' reactions, Brave Girls really didn't lose to Cosmic Girls."

"I don't really remember the rankings from the previous season. I just remember the good performances and Brave Girls did well on their on-stage performances."

"Everyone worked hard but I thought Brave Girls have done the best next to Hyolyn."

Meanwhile, 'Queendom 2' is the Mnet's competition show in which girl groups compete to take the title of 'Queen.' The first season gained immense popularity leading to the production of season 2.

I think the scoring criteria is about as far as you can make it. A weighted proportion of self assessment, global votes, and in-person audience votes is pretty good. Unfortunately it’s pretty fair to call the whole show a popularity contest. Fans are always going to vote for their favourites regardless of who objectively put up the best performance on the night.

Brave Girls probably have the smallest fanbase on the show and we’re already seeing the effects of that. Their second performance was legit excellent. I think a lot of people are just feeling a lot of sympathy, because Brave Girls are definitely putting up performances as good as their fellow teams, but not getting the rightful recognition or rewards.

The show is really based on popularity and not talent. The idols can do mediocre and still rank high because of fans. Clearly Brave Girls are at the disadvantage from the start. Kpop is sadly mainly about popularity. #Bravegirlsdeservebetter
