On March 6, Oh My Girl's agency WM Entertainment released a statement announcing member YooA's contraction of COVID-19.

YooA first tested positive on the self-test kit conducted preemptively on March 5, after which she promptly took the PCR test. The PCR test returned on March 6 to confirm the contraction. She will be suspending all her activities to focus on recovery in the meantime.

WM Entertainment's statement is as follows:

"This is an announcement regarding Oh My Girl's YooA testing positive for COVID-19.

YooA tested positive in the self-test kit conducted preemptively on March 5, and the PCR test was conducted immediately after. The PCR test confirms her contraction of COVID-19 this morning (March 6). 

YooA completed the second jab of COVID-19 vaccination. She will be suspending all schedules and taking necessary measures and rest according to the guidelines of the quarantine authorities.

We will do our best to focus on treatment and recovery, and we consider the health and safety of artists as our top priority. In addition, we will faithfully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the quarantine authorities.
