Former After School member Lizzy explained the social media post that had fans worried about her well-being.
On March 10, Lizzy left a cryptic post on Instagram, stating, "Goodbye, my life," which caused some fans to speculate the former idol star may be thinking of ending her life. She later edited her caption, saying, "Hello to my new and very anticipated life in 2022. Hahahahaha."
She also assured fans, explaining, "I think I caused some sort of misunderstanding with my previous caption, which was interpreted totally differently than I what I intended. I also chose 'The Little Mermaid' character Ariel because she's my favorite, and I put her picture up because she's cute! I'm sorry for causing concern for no reason. Thank you."
Back in May of 2021, Lizzy was charged for driving under the influence of alcohol after she drove into a taxi with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08%, which is high enough to get her license revoked. Then in October of 2021, Lizzy's first trial was held, and she was fined 15 million won (~$12,206 USD). Lizzy did not appeal the court decision, and her final sentence was confirmed.
