On March 24, Big Hit Music released an official statement via Weverse, confirming that BTS member J-Hope has tested positive for COVID-19.
The agency relayed, "J-Hope presented symptoms of a sore throat and visited a hospital to take a PCR test on Wednesday, March 23, and was diagnosed with COVID-19 this morning (March 24). j-hope has completed up to his third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and is currently not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a sore throat, and is undergoing treatment at home while under quarantine."
Furthermore, Big Hit Music assured, "J-Hope is planning to take part in activities scheduled to take place next month once his at-home treatment concludes."
Meanwhile, J-Hope is the 6th member of BTS to contract COVID-19, following members SUGA, RM, Jin, Jimin, and V. All of the members have safely recovered from the virus thus far, and J-Hope is expected to do the same.
In other news, BTS will be departing for the United States soon in order to attend the '64th Grammy Awards', taking place in Las Vegas on April 3. From April 8-9, and from April 15-16, the group will be holding their 'Permission To Dance On Stage - Las Vegas' concert at the Allegiant Stadium.
