In October last year, Walt Disney confirmed that Friends written, composed, and produced by Jimin and performed with Taehyung would be a part of Marvel's The Eternals soundtrack as the first Korean song to be used as an OST for a Hollywood blockbuster Marvel movie. The news sparked pride and excitement among fans, trended high worldwide, with media outlets worldwide reporting about the good news. When the movie was released in cinemas on November 5th, "it ranked first in South Korea's Box office giving becoming its biggest box office weekend of 2021 and second-biggest opening during the pandemic."
