On December 15, former Lovelyz member Jin revealed her intentions to take legal action against a malicious and delusional online attacker, who has been terrorizing her through Instagram DMs and calls for the past year. 

Jin wrote, "Since last September and even now, there is a person who is sending me messages filled with imaginary stories all thought up in their head, laden with cursing language. Sometimes, they even try to call me through Instagram. They use many different usernames, but based on the content or the wording of the messages, I believe that it is one person using multiple accounts. Personal attacks about my outer appearance or attacks about my character are a given; they even accused me of following their behavior or their makeup style. They also falsely accused me of dating a sunbae artist and warned me to stop giving them a hard time. But the one who is really having a hard time is me... At first, I thought it would pass if I ignored it. But after enduring these attacks for the past year, my heart has become too damaged. Now, I've decided that I can no longer hold back, to protect myself. If the above activities continue, I will have no choice but to respond with strong legal action."

Jin then also revealed some of the malicious Instagram DMs that she has been receiving from this attacker, which contained messages such as, "Are you the crazy b**** who gave my friend hell? You b*****, live life properly", "Quit blocking me and reflect on what a bad person you are. Are you still following me? You copied my name and used words from my messages", "I can live with a lot, but I can't live with a person like you who is careless, mannerless, rude, and dumb," etc. 

Finally, Jin assured her followers that content such as phone numbers or addresses mentioned in the above DMs are no longer affiliated with her, and so her privacy is ensured.
