Huh Gak and Play M Entertainment have decided to part ways.
On October 6 KST, Play M Entertainment stated, "This coming October 8, our exclusive contract with our label's artist Huh Gak officially comes to an end. Although our contract has ended, we will always be happily and sincerely sending our support for [Huh Gak's] fresh new start." As such, after sharing many conversations together for a long time, Huh Gak and Play M Entertainment have ultimately decided to part ways, continuing to support each other from afar.
Meanwhile, Huh Gak first gained widespread fame after winning 1st place on Mnet's singing survival program 'Superstar K'. He then became the first artist to be signed with Play M Entertainment (founded in 2011 as A Cube Entertainment). Here, Huh Gak released many hit songs under the label, including "Hello", "I Told You I Wanna Die", as well as the original soundtrack "Please Don't Forget Me" for the popular drama 'The Greatest Love'. Many look forward to Huh Gak's new label, as well as his future activities as a singer.
