On June 2, fans from all over the world took the time to celebrate the 8th anniversary of the day V was first introduced to the world as a member of BTS.
Some trending Twitter hashtags on this day included #8YearsWithTaehyung and 'OUR HAPPINESS TAEHYUNG'.
On June 2, 2013, V first revealed himself to the world by posting a photo of himself on BTS' official twitter account. On the post, he had half of his face covered with his cap, and wrote a simple caption that said, "V".
After joining Big Hit Entertainment as a trainee in 2011, V remained as a hidden member for the duration of his trainee period. He was finally revealed as a BTS member on June 2, 2013, just eleven days before BTS made their official debut. On the following day, V was the first member to have his full profile for BTS' debut teaser revealed on Big Hit Entertainment's homepage.
Beginning in 2012, the BTS members, except V, had continuously communicated with fans through online promotion videos. While the members filmed their video logs during their trainee period, it is said that V stood in the corner, hiding from the view of the camera. Thus, V was known as the 'hidden card member', a secret kept so well that fans had not even been aware that BTS would be a seven member group. Bang Shi Hyuk, founder and CEO of Big Hit Entertainment, now known as HYBE, had likely planned to introduce V last in order to bring strong impact to BTS as a group, through V's perfect visuals and all-round skills.
V has now earned many titles, including 'History Maker V', 'Record Setter V', WORLDWIDE ACE V', 'Worldwide it Boy', and more. Yet, when asked what he thinks his representative accomplishment is, V responded, "I will work on making a representative accomplishment starting now", making fans look forward to seeing his potentials grow even greater.
He will keep making history
