Record Maker Jimin is at it again as his solo songs continue to thrive on the world’s largest music platform proving his unparalleled worldwide popularity.
On February 8 2020, Jimin’s solo song "Filter" from BTS’s fourth full-length album “Map of the Soul: 7”, surpassed 125 million streams on Spotify. As such, Jimin became the first and only Korean solo artist with 2 songs surpassing 125 million streams on Spotify.
Jimin also broke records as “Filter” becomes the fastest unpromoted Korean solo song and Korean male solo song to achieve 125 million streams in only 352 days after its release.
Jimin’s other solo song “Lie” isn’t slacking as it reached 126 million streams on Spotify on the same day. “Lie” is a masterpiece released in 2016 from BTS’s album “Wings” yet still being listened to very much on the platform.
Lastly, Jimin really started the week right by another song setting milestones on Spotify as another solo song “Serendipity: Full Length Edition” has surpassed 122 million streams on Spotify.
Serendipity was initially released as an introductory song on September 8, 2017 in Love Yourself: Her while the full version was out on August 24, 2018 in Love Yourself: Answer. This magical song has since then been very well accepted by the listening public including celebrities and young children.
Congratulations, Jiminie!
