On December 24, Seoul's Central District Court reached a verdict in the initial trial case of former Yuri Holdings president, Yoo In Suk. 

During this trial, Yoo In Suk faced charges including embezzlement of business funds, procurement of prostitution, etc. 

The Seoul Central District Court has officially sentenced Yoo In Suk to 1 year and 8 months in prison, if he commits any additional crimes of similar degree within a probationary period of 3 years. The court declared, "Yoo In Suk has pleaded guilty to most of his criminal charges, and there is a significant amount of evidence, as a result Yoo has been found guilty of all charges submitted by the prosecution. Yoo has also surrendered all embezzled funds and has come to settlements with all who were involved in his other charges." 

From 2015-2016, Yoo In Suk procured prostitution a total of 24 times for his foreign investors. He also registered an adult entertainment establishment run by Yuri Holdings, Monkey Museum, as an ordinary business restaurant and violated food sanitation laws, embezzled business funds, etc. 

During his previous court hearings, Yoo In Suk pleaded with the jury, "After the news went public, my entire family became the center of attacks and scrutiny. I am currently unable to step foot outside with my family. I am living in a prison without bars... I would like to start acting like a paper husband and father after reflecting on my mistakes." 

In addition, president Lee Sung Hyun of club 'Burning Sun' was also sentenced to a probationary period of 3 years, during which he may face 1 year and 6 months in prison for additional felonies. Yoo In Suk's former business partner and former Big Bang member Seungri is still facing a series of military court hearing sessions before the court can reach a final verdict. Unlike Yoo In Suk, Seungri is currently denying many of his criminal charges, claiming that charges such as the procurement of prostitution for foreign investors was Yo in Suk's one-sided doing.
