After the successful comeback of SEVENTEEN with their 7th Mini Album [Heng:garæ] that already achieved a'Million Seller' surpassing 1,103,419 total physical copies recorded in Hanteo Chart, the album also topped #1 on Oricon Weekly Album Chart.
According to Oricon, Japan's largest statistics music chart announced on June 30th, that Heng:garæ album sold 101,000 physical copies ranking at No. 1 on Oricon Weekly Album Chart for the week of June 22 through June 28.
In this record, the Heng:garæ album become the 3rd Korean album of SEVENTEEN to take first place on Oricon weekly chart after their 6th Mini Album 'You Made My Dawn' back on January 2019 and 3rd Full Album 'An Ode' last September 2019, proving the immense global popularity of the group in the local Japanese market.
This outstanding achievement of SEVENTEEN broke the historical record in Oricon that no other foreign artists achieved for the past 42 years and 11 months who topped the weekly chart again in three consecutive foreign albums since the popular American folk-rock duo Simon & Garfunkel on 1971 and Scottish band group Bay City Rollers on1977 that established the record in Japan.
As a result, a lot of people are taken by surprise and anticipating the next phase of SEVENTEEN with all these remarkable achievements on various music charts domestically and overseas.
