There are not many established artist that release their music for free these days but uber-popular K-Pop band BTS is one such artist who does so unhesitatingly. Almost all of the members in the 7-member band have released their solo songs - be it their original compositions, their mix-tapes or covers on the steaming siteSoundCloud.

One of the members recently made history and again today they hit a new milestone- Kim Taehyung aka BTS V is the only member who has 5 songs in the Top 10 most listened to BTS tracks on SoundCloud.

BTS V's 2 covers - Hug Me (featuring band member J-Hope too) and Adele's Someone like You, recently joined his original songs list- 4 o'Clock (featuring band member RM), Winter Bear and Scenery in the Top 10 most streamed BTS songs.

He occupies positions 2, 3 and 4 in the Top 5 and guess what- all of these are his own original creations!

BTS V is the only Korean artist who has 3 of his original songs having more than 50M streams on Soundcloud. 

Scenery, Winter Bear and 4 o'clock all have a place in the BTS hall of fame as being the top most streamed songs on SC.

With the release of Winter Bear, BTS V became the only vocal line member of the band who has 8 KOMCA songs accredited to his name as a lyricist/composer. What an achievement!

BTS V's charm is undeniable at this stage. Having old covers rise up to the most streamed songs indicate that people are wanting to listen to more of his music and are eagerly waiting for him to release more of his creations. His melodic voice which is pretty rare in K-pop industry is very soothing to listen to and his songs - be it his own or the covers he does- are a tad different than the usual run-of-the-mill songs that we listen to on the daily.

We hope we get to hear much more from this talented young artist in the coming years. Keeping our fingers crossed for that!
