The trial period for five people, including Jeong Joon-young and Choi Jong-hoon, who were indicted on charges of violating the Special Law on the Punishment of Sexual Violence and Crimes, will be held on the morning of June 2 at the Seoul Central District Court.
Jung Joon-young and Choi Jong-hoon were in a row over the controversy over "Jeong Joon-young's Dankokbang," which caused a public uproar in March. They are accused of intoxicating women and gang rape in Daegu in January 2016 in the same year as Hongcheon, Gangwon Province.
Earlier in the day, Chung Joon-young and Choi Jong-hoon both denied any sexual assault charges during the first hearing on July 16. However, there were different positions regarding the existence of sex. Jung Joon-young said there was sexual intercourse under the agreement, while Choi claimed that there was no sexual intercourse at all.
The witness examination in a trial is scheduled to be held on that day will be conducted behind closed doors.
