The news that Mr. "A" - Lee Tae Im's husband - was arrested for participating in stock fraud was revealed.
On July 23, according to legal and securities experts, a media outlet reported that Mr. "A" had completed the trial over the allegation of violating the law on additional punishment for special economic crimes. Accordingly, on July 11, Mr. "A" was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison at the Seoul High Court and detained according to the law.
It is known that "A" was prosecuted with detention in March 2018 on a charge of defrauding corporate shareholders of a large amount of money in 2014 by saying, "I will control the market price to boost stock prices." Some people said that the arrest of "A" had affected Lee Tae Im as mental pressure before and after the moment the actress announced her withdrawal from the entertainment industry.
Lee Tae Im debuted in 2008 in the drama "Golden Age of My Life" (MBC). After that, she was active in both drama and movie fields. In 2015, while filming for the entertainment show "My Tutor Friend" (MBC), she got involved in strife with songstress Yewon and had to experience a period of self-criticism. By 2017, Lee Tae Im returned with the drama "The Lady in Dignity" (JTBC) and seemed to continue to work in the entertainment industry. However, the actress suddenly announced her retirement.
Regarding this, Lee Tae Im directly sent a retirement greeting when leaving an article on her personal SNS, "I've been extremely tired in the past days because of many thoughts and suffering. I decided to live a normal life in the future. I will live without forgetting those who have loved me over the past period. Thank you."
Afterward, the actress incurred a penalty for breach of her exclusive contract with the management agency and terminated the contract. At that point, the company said that Lee Tae Im was 3 months pregnant and her husband-to-be was an M&A expert. After her childbirth in September of 2018, she has been devoting herself to parenting.

I’ve always sympathised her because of her controversy with Yewon. If not for the controversy, she and Yewon wouldn’t be struggling in the entertainment industry. I’m surprised Yewon didn’t retire either.
