Jung Joon Young, former F.T. Island member Jonghun, and 3 others have been accused of sexually assaulting a woman as a group.

On April 18, SBS funE released an interview with woman A who is alleging she was assaulted by Jung Joon Young, Jonghun, and 3 other men. She gave evidence of her ties to the group after confirming with reporter Kang Kyung Yoon with a voice recording, photos, and conversations from the controversial chatroom, and she's now decided to file a lawsuit against the men.

According to alleged victim A, she blacked out after drinking alcohol with Jung Joon Young, Jonghun, 'Burning Sun' employee Kim, former YG Entertainment employee Heo, and businessman Park in March of 2016. In the morning, she woke up naked next to Jonghun in a hotel room, and after the recent chatroom controversy, she suspected she was sexually assaulted. She contacted the lawyer who initially released the contents of the controversial chatrooms to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, Bang Jung Hyun, and together, they confirmed she was in 1 voice recording, 6 photos, and chat logs that hint at her sexual assault.

The chatroom logs revealed Jung Joon Young used slang for a group assault against the woman, and Jonghun is reported to have discussed holding back laughing as he sexually assaulted a blacked-out A.

"What is your relationship with the 5 members?

I met Jung Joon Young in 2012 through a mutual acquaintance, and I've known Kim since 2013. One of my friends was dating Seungri, so we used to hang out as a group. In early 2016, Jung Joon Young called me to drink together for the first time in a while because he was holding a fan signing event. The 5 group chatroom members and I drank at 3 different locations. I was kind of drunk, but there were 2 celebrities. Because I knew them for a few years, I let my guard down. They told me they booked a suite at a hotel and wanted to drink more there. As soon as I drank alcohol there, I blacked out.

What was going on when you woke up?

I woke up because of a headache. My clothes were off, and Jonghun was next to me laughing. Since I was naked, I asked, 'What's going on?' They said, 'You don't remember?' and laughed. They came close to me while I was completely naked and made fun of me, saying, 'Try looking for your underwear.' Heo poked me around while joking that we should have had intercourse. When I told them to stop, they gave me my underwear. I got dressed after I found my clothes and got out of the hotel. That's what I remember from the day.

Did you not have suspicions you were sexually assaulted at the time?

I don't remember anything after I lost consciousness after drinking at the hotel. I was taking pills for a panic disorder, so I thought that was why I passed out. The back of my head was swollen like I hit my head on something. When I woke up naked in the morning, I was ashamed, but I wasn't aware of what happened. I couldn't ask either. When I got out of the hotel, Jung Joon Young, Jonghun, and Kim contacted me like nothing happened. Jonghun even told me, 'See you later.' It was hard for me to ask them outright.

Did you contact them after you saw the reports of the chatrooms?

I contacted Jonghun and Kim. When I asked if they took footage of me, they said they did not. They told me, 'We didn't even mention you. Please believe us.' They even told me, 'Don't worry. Let's meet.' I realized it would be difficult to expect an apology from them or for them to reflect on themselves.

What made you decide to sue them?

It's painful every time I think about it. Because it's embarrassing and painful, I deliberately tried to not talk about what happened that day. After I saw reports of the group chatrooms, I realized that even though I considered them my close friends, it wasn't the same for them. I can't help but think they simply treated me like an object. I was ashamed. I hope they pay for their crimes.

How do you feel about the lawsuit you're filing?

I'm worried I might encounter retaliation or if the police will even carry out a proper investigation. The police stated they have investigated the group chatrooms, but I've never been contacted by the police. I don't know what will happen to me if they say they didn't do anything. I'm scared my identity will be exposed, and people will know I was a victim."

A's testimony is now leading police to investigate allegations of sexual assault against Jung Joon Young. Businessman Park has denied being related to the case, Heo did not respond, and Jonghun was unable to be reached.
