Rumours of a collaboration first sparked when Halsey met BTS for the first time at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Halsey was quick to state that BTS "are the coolest" highlighting her love for them. 

Furthermore, Halsey and BTS has another encounter when Halsey was attending a concert in Seoul and has strongly said "There is no way I'm leaving without meeting these guys" which again shows how much she supports them. The same year she also took to twitter to celebrate the 2 year friendship she held with BTS. She has also stated several times that she is "lucky to have met them" and that she was "inspired" by them. Similarly, she highlighted her favourite member of the group RM after much thought in an interview with MYX Philippines. 

Did her dream come true? Her recent collaboration with BTS has bought around speculation about the fact that Halsey's dream as BTS' fan has come true.  Fans were quick to spot this and congratulated both the artists and wish them the best of luck for the future.
