Happy Face Entertainment is preparing to press charges in response to recent malicious accusations made by netizens.
On February 11, the agency released an official statement, revealing that they have already filed a formal defamation complaint regarding one netizen with the Gangnam Police Department.
"Happy Face Entertainment will deal sternly with the malicious slandering and insulting of its artists through the dissemination of false information and libel," the agency added.
The move is a response to recent false information about Dream Catcher member Siyeon that began to circulating online. A netizen of one online community alleged that the idol was a high school bully who attacked them when they were first year students.
"Even now, when I see Siyeon, my whole body shudders, I get scared, and I can't stop crying," the netizen claimed. "I don't want to make a big deal about it. I just wish that she would give me a sincere, heartfelt apology."
Soon after, Happy Face Entertainment denied these reports.

This whole, she used to be a bully, story has been so overused a real life victim would need to present some pretty legit evidence to be taken seriously.
