On October 9, FNC Entertainment released an official statement regarding CNBLUE member Yonghwa's preferential treatment graduate school admission case.

Read FNC's statement below:

"Hello. This is FNC Entertainment.

We would live to deliver news regarding our artist Jung Yonghwa's graduate school admission process.

Earlier this year, Jung Yonghwa earnestly cooperated in all police investigations related to this case, and the police have concluded that Jung Yonghwa's admission into the graduate program did not interfere with the school's business operations; as of July of this year, Jung Yonghwa was pronounced acquitted from the case.

Through the acquittal, Jung Yonghwa has proven that he did not intend to receive preferential treatment during his admission process, and he has also cleared various misunderstandings surrounding his aim to earn his doctorate.

Meanwhile, Jung Yonghwa is currently serving as a member of the special forces unit 702 after successfully enlisting in March of this year and finishing his basic training with high marks."

Earlier, it was reported that the professor who admitted students with an unfair system was sentenced guilty.
