The staff of currently airing MBC drama 'Time' is under fire after netizens accused the drama crew of illegal parking, interfering public activities, and more.
Previously, netizens claimed on online communities that the MBC filming staff were seen parking illegally in front of a bus station, or directly in front of a convenience store entrance, preventing citizens from proper public activities. Netizens also accused the staff of littering and improper cleanup after filming came to an end, causing a stir.
When criticism escalated, MBC staff issued an official notice of apology. They stated, "Back on July 3, our afternoon staff parked illegally at a public bus stop or on private property. Due to rainy weather that day, the staff practiced illegal parking with the pretext of reducing equipment transportation to a minimum, and as a result, we caused the citizens discomfort."
MBC continued, "We also parked illegally in front of private property and interfered with business. Because we were thinking only of comfort in our filming, we forgot to put the importance of citizens first. We sought after citizens affected by our mistakes and apologized sincerely in person, and we plan on visiting the business owner to do the same."
