Fans are angered by an inappropriate hidden camera prank.
In the end, all members gathered back in the office together where the CEO delivered a letter containing a final message. The letter revealed Neon Punch has been pranked and the group is not disbanding after all. The girls all laughed in relief. The CEO explained the hidden camera prank aim to show how people react to failure and devastation.
A hidden camera prank was set up in relation to the '2018 Fail Expo'. For the prank, A100 Entertainment CEO Baek Jong Wook called his five-member girl group Neon Punch to his office and delivered the news of the group's disbandment. He said, "I don't know how to say this... I don't have any positive thoughts about Neon Punch's future. I think Neon Punch needs to disband."
The girls broke down in tears at the sudden news.
The CEO then took the time to talk with each member and asked if they are willing to go back to being a trainee. All the members expressed the wish to continue striving toward their dreams.

The hidden camera prank drew to a close with laughter, however, netizens are displeased with the inappropriate topic. It's claimed the group's disbandment isn't an issue to be joking about. Comments stated, "Why would you pull a prank on this...", "Joking with someone's dreams is not funny", "This is awful. I really thought they were disbanding", "Whose idea is this?? This is terrible. Not funny at all", "Their lives depend on it. Crazy", "This isn't something to pull a hidden camera prank on.."
