On the September 16 broadcast of SBS's 'My Ugly Duckling', Kim Jong Kook took a vacation trip to Hongchun with his manager Gap Jin and a group of his close friends, as well as trot singer Hong Jin Young!

The trot singer volunteered to cook dinner for Kim Jong Kook and his friends, and Kim Jong Kook of course decided to help Hong Jin Young. The sight of the two preparing dinner in the kitchen brought smiles to the mothers of 'My Ugly Duckling' watching from the studio, including Kim Jong Kook's own mother.

While cooking dinner, Hong Jin Young tried to get Kim Jong Kook to sing a duet with her. Egged on by his dongsaengs, Kim Jong Kook obliged, the two singers harmonizing to a classic male-female duet "Our Love Like This". 

After dinner, Kim Jong Kook's dongsaengs decided to test Kim Jong Kook and Hong Jin Young with a lie detector. They asked Kim Jong Kook, "I want to get married. Yes or no," as well as, "I've kissed someone in the past 6 months. Yes or no." Hong Jin Young also asked, "If I had to choose between marriage and exercise, it would be?" 

To Hong Jin Young, the men asked, "There's someone here you see as a man." Hong Jin Young answered "no," but the lie detector claimed that she was lying. To the next question, "That man's surname is Kim," Hong Jin Young answered "no," again, only to be called out on a lie by the lie detector a second time!
