TVXQ's popularity in Japan is surely unprecedented.
According to reports, TVXQ attracted over 1 million attendees through their 'Begin Again' Japan tour which began back on November 11, 2017. On June 10, the two stars concluded the tour with a 3-day concert series which took place from June 8 to 10, at the Nissan Stadium, a sports venue in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. The Nissan Stadium has the highest seating capacity throughout Japan, being able to hold over 70,000 people.
Prior to this weekend, TVXQ visited 5 other cities and performed at 17 concerts, attracting over 780,000 attendees for the 'Begin Again' tour. Afterward, within this weekend alone for three days, a total of 220,000 fans came out to see the show(s) - totaling over 1 million people for a single tour and becoming the first and only foreign artist to accomplish this.
