The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST) has declared Momoland innocent from sajaegi accusations.
Momoland was accused of sajaegi as the sales of the album 'Great!' tremendously soared up in a short amount of time. Duble Kick Entertainment (now MLD Entertainment) strongly denied the accusations, but Hanteo had requested official investigations into the situation. In the first hearing, MCST had declared that Momoland had not participated in sajaegi. In the 2nd hearing that took place on the 25th, MCST confirmed that sajaegi had not taken place.
Their label said, "As both the 1st and 2nd trial by MCST declared that Momoland's case was not sajaegi, we are glad that they were able to be freed from accusations. We thank everyone who has trusted and supported Momoland. We hope this puts an end to the sajaegi controversy. MLD Entertainment and Momoland will continue to go forward to help the progress of K-pop."
The decision couldn't come at a better time, as the girls are coming back later today at 6PM KST on the 26th.
