10 things you didn't know about Eric Nam

1. He was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia

Eric was not born in Korea but rather in HOTLANTA or Atlanta, Georgia. In fact, he was a part of the Atlanta Boy Choir and traveled to Italy to perform!

2. He is the oldest of three children

Eric has two younger brothers, Eddie Nam and Brian Nam, who are frequently featured in his Instagram posts. Eddie works as Eric's manager, while Brian is currently a student at Columbia University.

3. He knows how to play both the piano and the cello

Eric is not just an amazing singer, but also a talented musician capable of playing multiple instruments. When he was younger, he participated in his school orchestra.

4. He can speak Spanish

Eric has shown fans that he can not only speak Korean and English, but can also speak Spanish. In some of the videos that he uploads, he can be seen talking to his fans in Spanish!

5. He graduated cum laude from Boston College

Did you know that Eric graduated cum laude from Boston College with a major in international studies? In fact, he even accepted a position as a business analyst in New York City before pursuing his musical career. In 2017, he visited students at Boston College and performed for them.

After his cover went viral, he was invited to participate as a contestant on MBC's "Birth of a Great Star 2," which is a Korean program similar to the X Factor. He ended within the Top 5, which sparked his career as an artist in Korea.

Eric is close friends with many popular idol group members including Henry Lau and Amber from f(x). He occasionally does Instagram live videos with Henry and has released a single with Amber, "I Just Wanna."
