MAMAMOO revealed why they went for a new genre for their recent comeback with "Starry Night".
At the March 7th showcase for 'Yellow Flower', MAMAMOO's Whee In commented on their new mini album, saying, "It's an album that has the feeling of winter moving into spring, and you'll be able to listen to it comfortably." She continued, "The album title came from our 'four seasons' and 'four colors' concept. As it's spring that starts the seasons and Hwa Sa's color is yellow, we named it 'Yellow Flower'."
As for MAMAMOO's house-electronica sound for their title track "Starry Night", Solar said, "I feel like people always look forward to MAMAMOO's performances on stage. I think we felt like we had to show a different style than we did before. We also have a desire when it comes to music, so we wanted to give an upgraded image this time around."
