Yes, they are the real 'winners' of the game.
After a successful performance during the '2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games,' the much-hyped female curling team, a.k.a. the 'curl-vengers' or 'garlic girls', got a chance to guest on 'Infinity Challenge'!
According to the show's producers, athletes Kim Eun Jung and Kim Kyung Ae were big fans of SHINee's Taemin and Wanna One's Kang Daniel. Kim Eun Jeong had previously shared on social media that she is a fan of Taemin, and Kim Kyung Ae often posted pictures of Kang Daniel and of her goods collections on her Instagram to display her true love for the idol.
During their recording of 'Infinity Challenge,' the national team got a chance to talk to the two idols on the phone. While on the phone with Taemin, Kim Eun Jung yelled "Taemin! Taemin! You must come!" as her own parody of shouting the name of her teammate Young Mi throughout the games.
In Kim Kyung Ae's case, she ended up dropping to her knees and bowing on the spot right after getting on the phone with Kang Daniel.
Everybody on set burst into laughter after watching these enthusiastic reactions from the national athletes. After the phone call, Kim Kyung Ae asked her teammate Kim Cho Hee, "Cho-cho, is this dream or reality?" Kim Cho Hee replied, "Kim Kyung Ae's mother is quite angry these days because of Kang Daniel."
You can catch the full episode of the curling team's appearance on 'Infinity Challenge' on March 17 at 6:25 PM (KST) on MBC!
