The idol recently engaged in an interview with TV Report, where she opened about leaving the girl group and Cube Entertainment. She revealed, "HyunA wasn't the only one that Cube wanted to stay and many don't know the situation so it was talked as if rest of the members were just thrown out. It's a frustrating situation. Parents and close peers were especially more upset so it was unfortunate."

Jenyer also talked about her relationship with her former members. She said, "The members have become tighter after disbandment. We depend on one another more and ask more questions. HyunA is probably busy lately due to her solo promotions. It's been awhile since I've seen her. We've disbanded but 4minute is always 4minute. And the members remain."
