Having learned aesthetic techniques at a young age, Mr. Sun, in his late 60s, now has been volunteering for the past 37 years after working as a taxi driver in his 30s back in 1980.
Mr. Sun commented, "On my one day off during the week, I would go volunteer at the nursing home, which made me feel bad toward my family."
However, Mr. Sun claims he can't help but continue his volunteer work, just looking at the elders' bright faces greeting him.
Currently, he visits the nursing home three times a month while working as a taxi driver.
Mr. Sun mentioned the best part of volunteering is, "eating a warm meal my wife has prepared for me when I return. I would like to continue this warm happiness for another decade."
Surprisingly enough, this isn't the first time such a thoughtful incident has occurred, with a barber offering to give haircuts to the dedicated ROK army.
