An industry representative reported that the drama is currently receiving much love overseas, including China and the United States. Furthermore, due to its ever increasing popularity, "A lot of start-up sites have been emerging selling 'Goblin' related products like photos, postcards, and mugs", which have become top commodities for many consumers.
The representative claimed, "Even merchandise featuring fake Gong Yoo autographs have been popping up, demonstrating the fans' passion for the drama."

Meanwhile, tvN's 'Goblin' scored one of the highest viewing rankings and the final episode recorded the second highest ratings in Korean cable television history at 18.6%.
