The PD laid out the roles of each of the 4 MCs currently heading the show and had both praise and gratitude to express toward the maknae MC, Super Junior's Kyuhyun. About Kyuhyun's role, the PD said it was "youth" because she thought without Kyuhyun, the show seemed "old."
She then said, "Kyuhyun spent his 20s on 'Radio Star'. The fact that he's in his 20s, looking for an in amidst hyungs in their 40s, is a difficulty. On our show, there's almost no instance when the audio gets cut off. But he adds his own quick reflexes to it, which is really difficult. He's doing a great job with it, which I feel proud and grateful for. He even has 'poisonous comments' his hyungs can't think of. He's an idol so there are boundaries he must keep, but he puts that aside for the show."
"He's been through a near death experience before (referring to his car accident), and he mentions this on the 500th episode. Before he came on the show, he said he used to stay in his dorm by himself all the time. On top of that, he said he waited for his chance at fame for a very long time. He's endured that time well... Recently in a survey asking 'Which star is 'Radio Star's most successful child?' and it was meant for the guests over the years, but Kyuhyun was chosen as #1. That hit me. Now, he does great anywhere he goes," she continued fondly.
Finally, when asked about potential replacements up for discussion once Kyuhyun enlists in the military next year, the PD relayed, "We think when Kyuhyun leaves, someone who has a fateful connection may come aboard. We are not thinking of anyone in advance. It doesn't seem right toward Kyuhyun. He seemed to be thinking about it though."
