Many fans are speculating Nam Tae Hyun had been drifting apart from WINNER for a while, and there was more behind his hiatus. Some say it's been a long time since he's stayed at WINNER's dormitory or hung out with the other members. Photos posted on social media also show Nam Tae Hyun separated from the other WINNER members at different events, suggesting he may not have gotten along with the group.
Furthermore, Nam Tae Hyun has been steadily releasing his own self-composed tracks on SoundCloud despite no word about WINNER's official comeback. There's also speculation his SoundCloud song "Who Cares" may be about his separation from WINNER.
The lyrics state, "Farewell. Don't act sad. There's no regret. You feel the same. I don't care. Nothing's forever. I'm alone anyway, so let's sing. Shut up. I don't hear whatever you're saying. I'll take care of myself. I don't care. I'll be thrown away even if I try to include myself. Let's just scream."
