In an interview with OSEN today, Yoon Kye Sang gave his thoughts on being a singer-turned-actor.
He said, "In the past, I did use to complain and blame other people a lot. But then I met actors my age and seeing as how the senior and junior actors with whom I networked expanded, I realized that originally being a singer didn't make things hard. They had felt the same thing when they were rookies. Everyone had a hard time and had to walk down the same path," emphasizing that acting wasn't harder for him just because he was originally a singer.

He added, "It is true that singer-turned-actors get a lot of hate comments and get judged a lot. However, that is why they need to work even harder. Even now, idols are going to auditions and working hard consistently, but they need to work harder, in my opinion. Of course there are some unfair aspects, but they can only work harder and do better in order to overcome that. They just need to work diligently without the need for excuses."
