During the August 30 press conference for musical 'The Days,' which was held at Chungmu Arts Center in Seoul, Hongki broached the kiss scene with actress Shin Go Eun.
Hongki admitted, "I'm actually not good at [initiating] physical contact. I seem like I'm carefree but I become a simpleton in front of women. When we were practicing the kiss scene for the first time, the director went easy on me. But as the opening day approached, he told me to 'just do it' but I couldn't."

The idol continued, "I know it's acting but it was hard to approach her. Actually, during practice, I was rejected by Shin Go Eun. I confidently stuck out my lips but she retreated. So I felt hurt and couldn't approach her easily after that."
