Although Kangin was reported to have been issued a fine of about $6,000 USD for his recent DUI incident, it appears that things don't necessarily end there. The court has to decide to okay the fine or call him in for a hearing.

The other day, the Seoul Central District Court said to OSEN, "There's been no progress since Kangin was summarily indicted by the prosecution on his DUI charge. Whether [the court] will confirm [and end it] with the [prosecution's] summary indictment or [the case] will be forwarded to the formal court depends on the justice department's court schedule. It seems the justice department is still making a decision."
Basically, the court could either finish the case by going with the fine that the prosecution decided on during the summary indictment they conducted on Kangin or the court could call Kangin into court for trial. Seems a bit ambivalent at the moment, so stay tuned!
Do you think the fine was not enough?
