On May 3, Korea Daily reported that fans found trashed fan letters in front Seventeen's dromitory. Several photos accompanied the report, showing unopened letters crumbled up on the streets.
The article stated, "Recently, young ladies in their 10's and 20's, who claim to be Seventeen fans reported that they found fan gifts trashed on the streets." The article claimed that the fans were greatly hurt by Seventeen for throwing away precious fan letters without even reading them.

The report also claimed that Seventeen's label has responded to the article with, "We are unaware of such happenings. We didn't know at all, and after checking with the members, they all stated that they have never thrown away any fan letters or gifts. If it was thrown away by any chance, it was probably mistakenly done by the housekeeper."
However, Seventeen's fans, or Carat, have responded to this article with contempt, as they stated, "Pledis Entertainment never even responded with anything like that. The reporter even made up that comment by Pledis", "They don't have a housekeeper", and "That site only uploades lies for articles", etc.
Did the reporter really makeup a false rumor about Seventeen? Or do those fan letters really belong to a fan whose heart has now been crushed? What are you thoughts on the controversial report?
