Woollim Entertainment has given an official statement on the ongoing lawsuit with TASTY.
The Chinese duo filed a lawsuit against the agency and its parent company SM C&C for contract termination last September, and Woollim announced its intention to file a counter suit. Following the trial on March 17 at Seoul's District Court, Woollim stated, "In terms of settling accounts, they haven't made a profit. The agency has only suffered a loss for their promotions. There was no unfair treatment. Their claims are filled with content that can't be understood."
The same day, TASTY's representative asserted in court that the exclusive contract was invalid and that SM C&C did not balance monetary accounts properly. The duo's attorney also stated that the two were treated unfairly and called for the termination of their contract.
SM C&C denied the accusations, stating that the duo made a profit that was less than what was invested into their promotions. The agency also stated that there is no legitimate reason to terminate TASTY's exclusive contract.
