Bhutan is well-known as one of the happiest countries in the world, as well as for being the country to coin the term "Gross National Happiness Index" in the 1970s. In 2015, 91.2% of Bhutan's population said that they were happy!
So why is Bhutan's Gross National Happiness Index in danger?
Representative Rinchen Dawa of Bhutan revealed that ever since TV and internet were first allowed to the public in 1999, the Korean wave has hit Bhutan big time! The representative stated, "The Korean wave is amazing. When you ask young girls in Bhutan these days if they are happy, they say that Korea, where EXO lives, seems like a happier place."
It looks like the Korean wave is hitting even the smallest countries! Way to go, EXO(?)
