Rumors are flying about that popular girl group KARA is disbanding. As the days inch closer to the end of Gyuri, Seungyeon and Hara's contracts with DSP Media, everyone is wondering what the future of KARA will be.
A representative who knows what's going on internally within KARA told StarNews, "It's true that all three people, Gyuri, Seungyeon and Hara have decided to not stay with DSP Media. There is still some time left before their exclusive contracts end, but it seems that they have made up their mind to go towards moving into a new agency."
According to DSP Media, the contracts of those three members will finish by the end of January, while new member Youngji still has much time left on her contract.
The rep also said, "The three members will go into acting, and start their 'second life'. In the case of Hara, she will discuss matters with her close fan and manager, and then give an official statement."
Reports are saying that KARA hasn't had promotions since this past fall with their Japanese tour. It's also being said that Hara, Seungyeon and Gyuri have already decided to leave, but DSP Media is unable to report so. That's because KARA's contract with a makeup brand is until this February.
On top of all this, KARA's newest member Youngji has removed 'KARA' from her Instagram page as of January 5.
Her Instagram account name used to be @kara_youngji_hur but it is now simply @young_g_hur.
