In the interview following the photoshoot, the actress relayed the gratefulness she felt from getting to promote in China, saying, "I'm thankful that I was handed the chance to promote in such a big country with many actors and works. I'm glad that I got a role where I play someone who wants to experience first love." Hong Soo Ah was selected to play Park Shin Hye's role for the Chinese version of 'Heirs,' opposite Super Junior's Siwon, who will be taking on Lee Min Ho's role. The actress told the interviewer, "[Siwon and I] are the only Koreans. Since we're the same age, we acted like friends." 

When asked the kind of role she would like to challenge herself with, Hong Soo Ah answered, "I want to play the kind of role Jun Ji Hyun played in 'My Sassy Girl.' My blunt and straightforward manner is similar to [Jun Ji Hyun's] character."

The actress also opened up a bit about her love life, admitting, "I'm scared to meet someone right now. I don't think [the relationship] will be stable because I'm going back and forth between China and Korea. If I had to choose between dating and work, I will definitely choose work."
