Earlier today, KBS reported that a man identified as Mr. Park was arrested for kidnapping his ex-girlfriend, 'A', locking her in a car trunk, and threatening her for valuables.
According to the report, Park had plotted with someone he met online--a man identified as 'B'--to abduct 'A' from her apartment complex's parking lot. The two then tossed her in the back of a trunk and drove around the Seoul capital area, demanding money and valuables from their captive.
However, Park's accomplice soon started feeling empathy towards 'A' and secretly told her how to open the trunk from the inside, aiding in her escape.
'A's escape was spotted by people at a bus stop, who saw the bedraggled captive wandering the streets with her hands and feet tied. The witnesses immediately reported her situation to the police and 'A' was said to have been safely rescued.
Meanwhile, 'B,' who remained by 'A's side until the police arrived, was arrested along with Park.
