On the June 11 episode of KBS2 TV's  'Happy Together', actor Lee Hyun Woo cleared up the dating rumors between him and IU.

When the MC panel asked about his past dating rumors with IU, Lee Hyun Woo said laughing, "Going to watch a movie [with IU] caused nothing but awkwardness," 

The actor stated that he is just close friends with IU and explained, "On the way back from the movies, my company kept calling me and told me articles were uploaded [on me and IU]. So I called Ji-eun (IU) and told her 'Is it really something to be concerned over?' The company was impassive and so was she," recalling the events of that day. 
 
When the MCs tried to provoke with "There are times when you start developing feelings for your friend," Lee Hyun Woo replied incredulously, "For her?" causing a gale of laughter.
