On March 13, Super Junior's Ryeowook expressed his disappointment via Twitter regarding an article written about him and fellow SM Entertainment artists who have dipped their feet in the musical industry.

In the article titled, "'Except that question..' Idol agencies who bring down their actors' values," the reporter lightly criticized SM Entertainment and other agencies for planning out the interview in advance by requesting the questions from the reporters prior to the interview.  The reporter wrote, "On the day of my interview, I received a request from the musical producers. It seemed as though Ryeowook's label had requested the question sheet. I already knew the reason. I've already done several interviews with SM idols who were in musicals."

The reporter continued, "[Asking for] the questions is kind of like an 'inspection.' They go through the questions that the reporters made up and mark O or X with a pen and decide which questions should be asked and which questions should not be asked. For example, it's common for them to be disrespectful and stop questions about relationships, their personal life, or lighthearted questions beforehand."

However, the article goes on to say that, although idols have received criticism in the beginning for taking over the musical industry, times have changed, especially for SM Entertainment artists who are now known as established musical actors.

The overall article goes on to criticize the agencies for being disrespectful towards the reporters who believe creating questions for interview is their right as reporters. The reporter wrote, "No one thinks of them as 'untalented' idol singers, but it seems as though their agencies are the ones remaining biased and seeing them as 'idols,' not musical actors."

Ryeowook wrote as a response, "Two-faced reporter, I am disappointed. You should have given me a chance to apologize for the disrespectful actions of my manager. An interview one hour after this article went up.. with no mention of this article.. The time you interviewed me with a smile on your face is quite scary," including a link to the article.

Ryeowook's tweet was met with supportive response as fans comforted the idol and told him to ignore such negative press.  After posting the tweet about an hour ago, he has since deleted it.
