It has been reported that an arrest warrant has been issued for actor Kim Sung Min (41) for allegedly using Philophon, a drug banned in Korea. This will be the second time the actor has been detained over the drug.
Since the arrest, a legal representative of Kim Sung Min released an official statement in regards to the incident and addressed the actor's apology.
They wrote, "Kim Sung Min was detained on the 11th for allegedly purchasing philopon (methamphetamine) through a distributor online in November 2014. Kim Sung Min is currently undergoing investigation at Seongnam Sujeong police station for illegal use of narcotics and has also plead guilty to all the charges."
The official statement went on to express Kim Sung Min's apologetic and regretful heart to his fans as well as his family members for committing the same crime after he was given a chance the first time around.

According to the reports, police have also arrested five alleged distributors of the drug, including a man in his early 20s, and eight others who allegedly bought the drug from the distributors, including a girl in her early teens.
Meanwhile, Kim Sung Min was previously arrested on suspicion for smuggling philophon from the Philippines from April 2008 to August 2010 and using it more than four times in September 2010. The actor was previously given a sentence of two years and six months in jail, suspended for four years, which meant he was on probation and would not have to spend time in jail if he stayed out of trouble for 4 years. However just when it seemed he had finished his suspended sentence, he has now been issued an arrest warrant for the same type of case.
