A recent campaign CF released by Korean part-time job recruiting site, 'Albamon,' featuring Girl's Day's Hyeri, became a controversy after Korean Internet Contents Service Cooperation Association sent a complaint, suggesting that the campaign is threatening small business owners.
The campaign CF includes educational data regarding minimum wages that part-time employees are entitled to as well as data about overnight wages.
In the campaign, Hyeri goes on to state that the minimum pay has been raised to 5,580 KRW (~ $5.00 USD) and also emphasizes that when employees are asked to work overnight, then they should be paid 1.5 times more than the minimum pay.

After watching the campaign, Korean Internet Contents Service Cooperation Association sent a complaint to 'Albamon' and stated that the campaign suggests that all small business owners are guilty of not paying fair wages. In addition to the complaint, the association requested that 'Albamon' publicly apologize and withhold further distribution of the campaign.
A rep from 'Albamon' released an official statement when the controversy arose, stating, "I think there was some miscommunication as we were trying to comically illustrate the predicaments of part-time workers. Please view it as a portrayal of the public interest."
The response to the complaint is generally negative as netizens expressed that if small business owners were fairly paying their employees with the minimum wage guidelines, then they wouldn't have any issues with the campaign. Netizens used the phrase, "The thief's own feet is numb," suggesting that Korean Internet Contents Service Cooperation Association is only reacting harshly because they feel guilty.
Meanwhile, the controversial campaign CF has been revised to cut out the most controversial part of the campaign and can be viewed via YouTube.
