AOA's ChoA appeared on Mnet's '4 Things Show' to talk about INFINITE H, particularly her good friend Hoya, on February 10.
Hoya revealed, "ChoA noona is a noona whom I was close to since I was 17 or 18. Since an audition, we helped each other and gave a lot of assistance."
ChoA said, "We met at an audition for a famous company; we were second-time recruits. Me, Hoya, Hani, and Hyorin are the same second-time recruits." The four of them were known to have been former JYP trainees before moving to different companies and succeeding there.
ChoA said, "Honestly, Hoya and I fell apart. To tell the truth, at that time, I didn't think Hoya would be able to debut as a celebrity. He danced well, but he didn't sing or rap at all. Regardless, he gave up school completely and went to Seoul from Changwon."
Hoya explained why he had dropped out, "I didn't learn music at an early age like other people and, while my height was over 180 cm (~ 5'11"), I wasn't a pretty boy. I thought that the only way to live was to practice. I went up to Seoul by myself and practiced like it was life or death. I believe what I used to raise myself was 'inferiority complex, revengeful thoughts, and anger.'"
